The mailing list scriptwith an extremely powerful MySQL backend out there!
The user has capabilites to subscribe to the mailing list through a file on your website, receive a confirmation email just incase of abuse, and even simply unsubscribing from the mailing list by clicking on an unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter the admin sends out.
The admin has capabilities to add a new subscriber without having to confirm it by email, list/manage current subscribers, and send a message to all current subscribers. The size of the database of subscribers has no effect on how long the message will take to send, it only depends on the size of the message itself!
The admin can import however many emails they want from a text database on the server (new lines currently can't be used as a seperator).
